Can acrylics be mixed with oils?

Oils and acrylics don’t mix, however… you can still use them with one another. Oil paint will work over acrylic (but not vice versa) and so acrylics can be used as a quick and cost-effective way to build texture or cover big areas of colour in underpaintings.
