What does an Architecture student have in in their kit?

A fresh start, a new project, a new academic year. We chatted to Architecture student Clarissa Newell-Price about her go-to essentials and how she prepares to get creative.

What are you studying?

Architecture at Oxford Brookes.

What are your memories of using Winsor & Newton materials?

I have used many different materials, but my best memories are mixed media and experimenting with new techniques.

What are your go-to essentials for your course or practice and why?

My essentials are Promarkers, specifically the metallics and neon markers because of the opacity and the fact they don’t bleed through the paper.

What materials have you enjoyed working with today and why?

I enjoyed working with the Promarker Watercolour and inks because they have a very good pigment and apply smoothly.

What is your advice for anyone starting a new course, project, or practice?

Experiment! Try and learn as many new techniques and materials as you can.
