"Perfect texture, quality, and color. Lamp black is exceptional for use in skies due to its blueish bias, when mixed with white. It allows for a simple stormy/gray sky alternative, compared to more rich mixtures. You can make silver out of it too!"
"A Scarlet leaning earthy red. The texture I have come across in my tubes has been somewhat runny, and not ideal, but I believe this to be a rare tube by tube basis, rather than the pigment and quality of the product itself. Great for mixing oranges."
"Its amazing quality!"
"Winsor & Newton never fail to provide tubes of paint that exceed my expectations each time I purchase them. They have a wide selection to choose from for primaries, which makes finding a cheaper alternative to one yellow or blue, possible. The affordability is forgiving and ideal for all of humanity. The oil to pigment ratio is ideal for a starting point; oily, but not too stiff either. I enjoy mixing my own paints from raw pigment, but if I had an eternal choice of pre-tubed oils, W&N would be my pick, forever."
"I have found raw umber to be of highly good value in making earth, and water, as burnt umber can lean quite red at times, raw umber appears to be a more true neutral."
"Great pigment, leans quite scarlet/orange. I mostly use it to make nice oranges and tone my canvases. Very good pigment."
"Amazing Color, texture is thick and lovely, and the quality is just as I expect from W&N. Great for neutral greens, and overall neutral colors."
